On a Saturday evening in Mobile, Alabama, on April 8, 2023, Montraze Khalil Slater, a 43-year-old male, was caught in an act of violence that would tragically end his life. While sitting in a vehicle on the 1800 block of Brownlee Street at approximately 9:30 p.m., another vehicle approached. Unseen individuals from within the second vehicle opened fire, striking Slater and another man who was with him.
