Ronnie Minefield, a 44-year-old man from Mobile, Alabama, was fatally shot on July 27, 2014, in what authorities initially described as a targeted homicide. The incident occurred late in the evening, when police responded to reports of gunfire in the Toulminville neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers found Minefield with multiple gunshot wounds.
