In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Mobile, Alabama, the life of 49-year-old Joel Baker, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On September 16, 2018, at approximately 11:51 p.m., police responded to a call of a person shot in the 600 block of Wilson Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered Baker suffering from gunshot wounds.
