On January 6, 2019, at approximately 12:25 p.m., Mobile police responded to a shooting incident in the 1300 block of Athey Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 29-year-old Jermaine Lee suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
