On the evening of April 7, 2023, a dispute between two men in Mobile, Alabama, escalated to a fatal conclusion, leaving one man dead and the other facing a murder charge. The victim was identified as 53-year-old Patrick Orr.
The incident unfolded on the 1000 block of Elmira Street, where police responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 6:43 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Orr lying on a lawn with gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators determined that Orr had been involved in a physical altercation with another individual prior to the shooting. That person, identified as 53-year-old Samuel Grace, was located at Springhill Medical Center, where he was receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the earlier fight.
Following an investigation into the events that transpired, Mobile police arrested Grace and charged him with the murder of Patrick Orr. He was subsequently transported to the Metro Jail.
