On a tragic Easter Sunday in 2022, Romello Williams, a 25-year-old male, lost his life in a violent exchange of gunfire in Mobile, Alabama. The altercation, which also resulted in the death of 24-year-old Justin Trotter, unfolded in the early morning hours of April 17th.
The incident began with a heated argument between Williams and Trotter in the city of Prichard. The verbal dispute quickly escalated, culminating in both men drawing firearms and fatally shooting one another.
Both Williams and Trotter were transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The violence connected to this initial confrontation did not end there. A third man, 42-year-old Robert McMillan, who was a friend of one of the deceased, arrived at the hospital's emergency room to check on his friend. In the parking lot, an argument broke out between McMillan and several other individuals. During this dispute, a person emerged from a gray Hyundai Sonata and shot McMillan, who subsequently died from his injuries.
Further investigation revealed that the initial deadly encounter between Williams and Trotter occurred in front of a gentleman's club on South Wilson Avenue. The subsequent shooting at the hospital was a direct consequence of the events that transpired earlier that morning. In connection with the shooting of Robert McMillan at the hospital, authorities were able to identify and apprehend a suspect, Algernon Grayson. Surveillance footage from the club placed Grayson at the scene shortly before the initial shootout, contradicting his claims of not being present.
