In the dark of a spring night in Mobile, Alabama, on April 6, 2021, the life of 40-year-old Robbie Blue was tragically cut short. That evening, Blue was found shot to death, his body left in the middle of Three Notch Road. The initial discovery of the gruesome scene was made by a passerby before law enforcement arrived around 10:30 p.m.
The investigation into the male's death quickly pointed to a suspect, Kytwoin Mallory. According to Blue's brother, it is believed that Blue likely knew his assailant, as he would not have typically gotten out of his car for a stranger. After the shooting, Blue's car was taken, though it was later recovered by detectives. The motive for the killing remains unclear to the family.
Mallory's violent history came to light during the investigation. Just three days prior to Blue's murder, he was accused of a violent carjacking where he allegedly pistol-whipped a woman who had given him a ride and then stole her vehicle. He was also connected to a shooting that occurred on Thanksgiving night at a motel in Mobile and another incident involving shots fired at a different hotel months earlier.
Ultimately, Kytwoin Mallory was arrested and charged with the murder of Robbie Blue. In 2024, a court found Mallory guilty of the crime.
