On the night of August 14, 2021, Ryan Gerrod Snell, a 22-year-old African American male from Selma, Alabama, was fatally shot in Troy, Alabama. At approximately 11:55 p.m., Troy police responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of West Fairview Street. Upon arrival, officers found Ryan Gerrod Snell suffering from gunshot wounds.
