On December 24, 2017, in Troy, Alabama, 56-year-old Eddie Keith Blair, known as "Key Soul," was fatally shot during a domestic disturbance that escalated into a mass shooting. The incident occurred at a residence on Chapman Street, where police responded to reports of gunfire around 10:25 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple victims: a 29-year-old man in the kitchen, a 49-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man in a bedroom, all suffering from gunshot wounds.
