On August 15, 2020, a tragic incident occurred in Troy, Alabama, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Jhakyndall "Dooby" Johnson. In the early hours of that Saturday, around 2 a.m., a large gathering was taking place in the parking lot of the Pike County Cattleman's Complex, located on U.S. 231 South. The venue had been leased for a rap concert, and as the event concluded, a confrontation escalated into a shootout. Bystander videos captured more than 50 shots being fired during the altercation.
