On August 14, 2021, at approximately 11:44 p.m., the Troy Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 100 block of Hubbard Street in Troy, Alabama. Upon arrival, officers discovered 52-year-old Anthony Carl Hodges deceased at the scene from a gunshot wound. Following an investigation, authorities identified 32-year-old Jerrald Carmichael Theodias Sankey of Montgomery as a suspect.
