In the early morning hours of August 15, 2020, a scene of chaos and violence erupted in the parking lot of the Pike County Cattleman's Complex in Troy, Alabama, leaving two men dead and several others wounded. Devonta James Givens, a 25-year-old Black male from Troy, was among those who lost their lives in the tragic shooting. The incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. as a large crowd was dispersing after a rap concert held at the venue.
