On the night of September 3, 2023, in Troy, Alabama, police responded to a vehicle crash in the 600 block of Pine Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a pickup truck that had veered off the road and struck an embankment. The driver, 35-year-old Quinta Dionne Maddox, was found in critical condition. Despite his injuries, Maddox informed officers that he had been shot but was unable to provide further details due to his condition.
