Any updates on this case?
John Anthony Gilardo, aged 61, was last seen on January 1, 1995, in San Diego, California. Gilardo kept in regular contact with his sister by phone, but after he stopped calling her, she grew concerned. When she attempted to report him missing, authorities initially dismissed the case, assuming he had traveled to Mexico voluntarily, as he frequently made trips there. Because of this assumption, no missing person report was filed until July 2012, nearly 17 years after his disappearance.
