Le Tung Dinh, a 38-year-old man, went missing on February 4, 1996, from his apartment in San Diego, California. Le, who suffered from a severe mental disability caused by a head injury, was unable to care for himself. On the day of his disappearance, he was last seen standing in the doorway of his apartment looking outside. His mother briefly left the room, and when she returned, Le was gone.
