On February 5, 2022, Huntsville Police Department (HPD) officers responded to an incident at an apartment in the 4200 block of Myrtlewood Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Jeremiah Jones deceased inside the residence. Investigations revealed that Jones and the suspect, 21-year-old Ladarrious Louis Brown, had engaged in a verbal dispute that escalated, leading to Jones's death.
