On April 28, 2022, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a shooting occurred in the 1800 block of Berkley Avenue in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident resulted in the death of 23-year-old Johnnae Shy'Ann Fuller, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other individuals were injured during the shooting; the youngest victim, aged 19, sustained life-threatening injuries, while the other two were reported to be in stable condition.
