On April 26, 2021, at approximately 10:36 p.m., 24-year-old Shunquesha Dale Patton was fatally shot during a domestic argument on 7th Street South, between Hall Avenue and McAdory Avenue, in Bessemer, Alabama. The Bessemer Police Department responded to the scene, where Patton was pronounced dead at 11:02 p.m. The incident was classified as a homicide, and authorities initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the shooting.
