On March 16, 2014, Angelica Jones, a 26-year-old resident of Bessemer, Alabama, was tragically shot to death at her home on the 500 block of McWaine Drive near McCalla. The incident was identified as an apparent murder-suicide. Her former boyfriend, 38-year-old Eddie Bradford, was found at the scene, having died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
