On October 8, 2022, in Anniston, Alabama, 20-year-old Christian D. Toyer was fatally shot. Anniston Police Department officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim around 5 p.m. in the 400 block of W. 29th Street. Upon arrival, they found Toyer lying unresponsive in the roadway. He succumbed to his injuries while being transported to a local hospital.
