On June 8, 2016, 43-year-old Franklin Key was found shot to death in a residence on Montgomery Avenue in Anniston, Alabama. Following the discovery, authorities arrested 31-year-old Marcus Swink in connection with the homicide. Swink was charged with murder; however, the charge was later dismissed when a key witness altered their testimony, leading to insufficient evidence for prosecution.
