On December 15, 2022, at approximately 6:58 P.M., Dothan Police officers responded to a firearm assault in the 1300 block of Alexander Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered that 21-year-old Alphonso Morrissette had been transported to Southeast Health by a personal vehicle. Morrissette suffered a single gunshot wound to the upper torso and was in critical condition. Despite immediate surgical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries.
