In the fading light of a Thursday evening in Dothan, Alabama, the life of 47-year-old Michael Freigang came to an abrupt and violent end. On February 17, 2022, Freigang, a male resident of the city, was fatally shot by a Dothan police officer near the intersection of Montgomery Highway and Ross Clark Circle.
