On October 7, 2023, at approximately 3:12 a.m., 20-year-old Jaquez Octavious Hill was fatally shot in the parking lot of a business in the 100 block of West Main Street in Dothan, Alabama. Hill, a resident of Midland City, had been a patron of a nearby nighttime establishment and was walking to his vehicle when the incident occurred.
