Death by Force

On February 1, 2023, 13-year-old Connor James Mullins was fatally shot in Phenix City, Alabama. Connor, accompanied by his brother and a friend, entered a property across the street from the main residence of 50-year-old Tywoana Anderson-Jakes. Upon noticing the boys, Anderson-Jakes confronted them, prompting two to flee. Connor, however, bent down, at which point Anderson-Jakes discharged a firearm, striking him in the neck and resulting in his immediate death.
