In a tragic turn of events on Thursday, June 13, 2019, Brandyn Lloyd Paonessa, a 26-year-old male, was fatally shot in Phenix City, Alabama. A veteran of the United States Army, having served two tours in Afghanistan, Paonessa was found in the front yard of a residence with a single gunshot wound to his abdomen. Despite the efforts of paramedics who arrived at the scene, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
