On a late spring evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 19-year-old Antwone Dwayne Tolson was tragically cut short. On May 19, 2014, at approximately 11:29 p.m., the young Black man was shot and killed in the 2600 block of Bowen Road in Southeast D.C. He was reportedly suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Metropolitan Police Department launched a homicide investigation into Tolson's death, offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
Despite the financial incentive and appeals to the public for assistance, the case has grown cold over the years.
