In the spring of 2022, a violent encounter on a street in Southeast Washington, D.C., set in motion a tragedy that would unfold over the course of nearly two years. On the evening of May 10th, officers from the Seventh District responded to a report of a shooting in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road.
