On a summer afternoon in Prichard, Alabama, 37-year-old Demarcus Benjamin was shot and killed, leaving a family searching for answers. The incident occurred on Friday, July 28, 2023, on Marengo Drive in the Alabama Village community. First responders arrived at the scene to find Benjamin suffering from a gunshot wound.
