Kenneth Ray Bell, a 56-year-old Black man from Mobile, Alabama, was shot after midnight on June 3, 2014, during a verbal dispute at the Murray Hill Court Apartments in Mobile. Police said the argument turned violent when Bell was shot in the abdomen. He was taken for medical treatment, but the wound proved fatal, and Mobile police later said he died on June 4 from severe blood loss caused by the gunshot.
