On October 5, 2022, at approximately 7:18 a.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a report of a person down in the 1500 block of Navco Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 23-year-old D'Angelo Wallace, who had died from a gunshot wound. His remains were found in a ditch near Dog River, leading authorities to initiate a homicide investigation.
