In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in Washington, D.C., the life of 19-year-old Ronnie Scharrod Edon of Forestville, Maryland, was tragically cut short. On October 7, 2014, at approximately 1:36 a.m., officers from the Seventh District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the 2600 block of Wade Road, Southeast. A subsequent search of the area led them to the 2600 block of Birney Place, Southeast, where they discovered Edon suffering from a gunshot wound.
