In the afternoon of November 10, 2022, a 24-year-old Black man named Mykell Vicente, a resident of Southeast Washington, D.C., was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 1:33 p.m. in the 2900 block of Stanton Road, Southeast, an area near the old Barry Farm neighborhood. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District were dispatched to the location after receiving reports of a shooting.
