In the spring of 2015, a sense of loss rippled through a Washington, D.C. family when 49-year-old Charles David Hatcherson was killed. On the afternoon of Thursday, April 23, 2015, at approximately 1:50 p.m., police responded to a call on the 4300 block of Gault Place in Northeast Washington. Upon arrival, they discovered Hatcherson unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound.
