In the quiet evening of January 30, 2020, a tragedy unfolded inside a residence in Southeast Washington, D.C., forever altering the lives of one family. On that Thursday, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Atlantic Street SE. The call, which came in at approximately 8:10 p.m., led officers to a grim discovery within the walls of the home.
