On that Thursday, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Atlantic Street SE. The call, which came in at approximately 8:10 p.m., led officers to a grim discovery within the walls of the home.
Inside, they found 30-year-old John Seegars, a male resident of Southeast, D.C., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
