On August 27, 2006, at approximately 2 a.m., Charlie Evans was shot and killed in the 4300 block of 1st Street, NE, Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of gunfire and found Evans at the scene suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The incident remains an unsolved homicide, and the MPD has been actively seeking any leads that could help bring justice for Charlie Evans and closure to his family.
