In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 27, 2021, the sounds of gunshots shattered the predawn quiet in the 1700 block of Gales Place, Northeast in Washington, D.C. Responding to reports of the gunfire at approximately 1:11 a.m., officers from the Fifth District of the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
