In the spring of 2018, a violent encounter on a street in Northeast Washington, D.C. left two men dead. On the evening of April 25th, police responded to the 400 block of 61st Street, NE, where they discovered the bodies of 44-year-old Antone Brown and 23-year-old Dalonte Wilson. Both men had sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head. The scene was chaotic, with investigators finding multiple shell casings of different calibers, suggesting that more than one firearm had been used in the
commission of the crime.
The investigation into the double homicide led authorities to identify a primary suspect, 45-year-old Alphonso Walker. Evidence gathered at the scene, including DNA swabs, fingerprints, and witness testimonies, pointed to Walker's alleged involvement in the killings. Subsequently, Walker was charged with a litany of serious offenses, including two counts of first-degree murder while armed with aggravating circumstances, attempted robbery, and several weapons charges.
