In the late morning of February 10, 2022, a tragic event unfolded in the 3900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, in Washington, D.C. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 11:27 AM, Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived at a residence to a grim scene. Inside, they discovered 28-year-old Adrian Williams suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite the immediate response from DC Fire and EMS, Mr.
Williams showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene. The official cause of death was determined to be the gunshot wound he sustained. While police identified him as Adrian Williams, they noted he had no fixed address.
Detectives from the Homicide Branch are actively investigating the case, which has been ruled a homicide. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and details about any potential suspects have not been released to the public. The Metropolitan Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and has offered a reward of up to $25,000 for tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Adrian Williams' death. The investigation remains ongoing.
