In the summer of 2017, the lives of two 18-year-old men were cut short in a violent encounter in west Phoenix. Luis Jaime Rodriguez Luna and his friend, Victor Pulido Ayala, were shot and killed on Saturday, July 8, 2017. The incident that led to their untimely deaths is reported to have stemmed from a drug deal that went tragically wrong.
