Death by Force

In the early evening of May 21, 2023, a call about a person with a gun brought Phoenix police officers to the area near Third Street and the Interstate 17 access road. Upon arrival around 6:00 p.m., the officers did not find the suspect but soon heard the sound of gunshots nearby. Their attention was then drawn to an encampment situated beneath the Interstate 17 Maricopa Freeway.
