On November 8, 2021, Martin Louis, a 23-year-old man, was fatally shot in an apartment complex in north Phoenix, Arizona. The incident occurred when Steven Love-Mason, who had a prior relationship with 28-year-old Trystan Benallie, forced his way into the apartment. Love-Mason had asked a neighbor to knock on the door, and upon it being opened, he entered the residence and shot both Benallie and Louis, resulting in their deaths.
