In the pre-dawn hours of a late June morning in Phoenix, Arizona, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of an apartment complex parking lot. Responding to witness calls, police arrived at the scene near 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road to find a young man who had been shot. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Tahgi Colbert, was pronounced dead at the scene on June 26, 2022. He was discovered on the ground next to a vehicle, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
