On an evening in late April of 2011, a Black / African American man named Danny Mitchell was fatally shot in Phoenix, Arizona. The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at approximately 5:45 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex located at 1700 West Ocotillo Road.
