In the summer of 2022, the community of Elkhart, Indiana, was unsettled by the discovery of two lives cut short. On Thursday, June 16, 2022, authorities were called to a residence on West Franklin Street where they found 41-year-old Chantay Cross and 36-year-old Andre Hillie. Both had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
