In the late hours of a Monday night in Phoenix, Arizona, the life of 28-year-old Lawrence Robinson was tragically cut short. On April 28, 2025, at approximately 10:10 p.m., police were dispatched to an apartment complex on North 42nd Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Lawrence Robinson suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Emergency services transported Robinson to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced
dead. The events of that night unfolded quickly, and responding officers were able to identify a potential suspect at the scene.
Law enforcement took 25-year-old Correy Cooks Jr. into custody in connection with the fatal shooting. Following an investigation that included witness interviews and the collection of evidence, Cooks was arrested. He has since been booked into jail and is facing a charge of second-degree murder for his alleged involvement in Lawrence Robinson's death.
