On November 26, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., Sylacauga police responded to reports of gunfire at the Drew Court Housing Complex. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Darrell T’Shunn Maple inside an apartment on Fluker Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention and transport to Coosa Valley Medical Center, Maple was pronounced dead at 3:22 a.m.
