In the early hours of a Thursday morning in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, a single-vehicle crash on 15th Street under the Interstate 359 overpass led to a grim discovery. First responders arrived at the scene around 3 a.m. on May 2, 2024, to find a car and a woman inside who had been shot. The woman, identified as 28-year-old Brunesha Renee McIntosh, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe the incident may have stemmed from a domestic altercation.
The investigation into McIntosh's death was swift. The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit dedicated the day to collecting physical evidence, reviewing video surveillance, and interviewing multiple witnesses. Through their efforts, they identified a suspect in the fatal shooting. Later that same day, law enforcement located and apprehended 25-year-old Ladarious Jaquan Bullock outside of Tuscaloosa County.
Following his capture, warrants were issued for Bullock, a resident of Boligee in the neighboring Greene County. He now faces a charge of capital murder in connection with the shooting death of Brunesha Renee McIntosh. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the events that led to the young woman's death.
