On July 19, 2020, 21-year-old Leonna Monae Tucker was found deceased in her apartment at The Grand at Rum Creek in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Authorities responded to a report of a shooting around 3:45 p.m. and discovered Tucker's body inside her residence. Investigators quickly identified 23-year-old Eric Markett Hayward as a suspect in her death.
