In the summer of 2024, a weekend in Montgomery, Alabama, was marked by a series of violent and unrelated shootings. On the evening of Saturday, June 22nd, amidst the escalating tensions in the city, 26-year-old Jimontae Rivers became a victim of the ongoing violence. The young man was shot and killed on Bergwin Road in a fatal incident that occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m.
