On June 22, 2024, at approximately 9:26 p.m., Montgomery police responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Burgwyn Road, near West South Boulevard and South Court Street. Upon arrival, officers and fire medics discovered 26-year-old Jimontae Rivers suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
